This unique organic pasta comes from Puglia, which is a warm, welcoming region, rich in sun, seas and tastes. The region’s dry, hot climate makes it ideal for growing grano duro (durum wheat) accounting for the superior, irresistible taste of its bread and pasta. Compared to other Italian regions, Puglia cultivates the most types and quantities of wheat, and for this reason it is called the “breadbasket of Italy”!

 

Among these there is the variety of durum wheat known as Senatore Cappelli selected in the early 20th century. After the 1960s the production ceased, as it was not a very productive variety but in recent years it was reintroduced in some South Italian regions such as Puglia. This is the only wheat type that is not genetically manipulated; therefore it doesn’t cause food allergies and intolerance. It is produced exclusively through biological cultivation and it is suitable for people with gluten intolerance. This kind of pasta will never overcook and therefore remain al dente making your meals a success for all kinds of guests.

 

But watch out! The con is that once your guests will taste this pasta they will come back very often…
